Job Summary
Advanced Sonographer operates imaging equipment (primarily ultrasound) to assist in diagnosis and treatment, serves as a lead when direct leadership is unavailable, provides expert resource and training, and communicates effectively with patients and healthcare professionals to maintain imaging standards and patient safety. Must be proficient in operating imaging equipment and procedures, with ability to supervise and coordinate daily operations and ensure quality imaging.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours
- Experience: 2 years of relevant experience
- License: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice
- Certifications/Registries: ARDMS/ARRT/CCI and 3 applicable advanced registries/certifications within the applicable work area OR 2 applicable advanced registries/certifications within the applicable work area and 5 years of applicable experience; Basic Life Support (BLS)
- In the state of Arkansas, ARDMS-RVT OR CCI-RVS OR ARRT-VS may be required within 12 months of hire and/or transfer depending on scope of role
