Job Summary
Advanced Solar Technician at Invenergy site: perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on solar, substation, and related equipment; conduct vegetation management; troubleshoot inverter, tracker, network, ground fault, and substation issues; inspect and repair equipment; maintain a safe, clean work environment; operate on a 7:00am–3:30pm schedule with overtime and potential night work; willing to travel up to 30% and support other project sites; outdoor work in varying weather; ability to climb and maneuver equipment; strong communication skills; valid driver’s license; eligible to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Four (4+) years of experience in renewable energy operations & maintenance OR eight (8+) years of relevant experience
- Willing to travel up to 30% of the time
- Willing to support other project sites in the region
- Willing to work nights during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities
- Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather
- Ability to climb / work safely from a portable step ladder
- Ability to understand directions, follow procedures, and complete tasks with minimal oversight
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds)
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future
