Job Summary
Advanced Solar Field Service Technician (O&M) performs preventative and corrective maintenance of Solar Utility and Sub-Station equipment at solar sites near New Brunswick, NJ. Responsibilities include documenting work orders/time logs/inventory, troubleshooting electrical components with DMMs/megger/amp clamps, testing solar equipment, and adhering to safety with LOTO/JHA. Requires ability to work solo or in a group, operate a vehicle safely, and travel up to 25%. 2+ years O&M experience on solar power plants and experience with inverters/tracker/sub-station equipment are preferred. Compensation is $30-$42 per hour DOE plus benefits; benefits include health insurance, 401k, PTO, tuition reimbursement, and more.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years’ experience in Commercial/Industrial operations and maintenance (O&M) on solar power plants is preferred.
- Strong mechanical and electrical experience with troubleshooting and installation skills.
- Experience with inverters, tracker systems, or sub-stations equipment (e.g., TMEIC, SMA, Sungrow, Nextracker, ATI) is preferred.
- Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) knowledge.
- Ability to work solo and in a group environment.
- Must live within approximately 50 miles of the New Brunswick, New Jersey area.
