Job Summary
Advanced Social Worker provides high-level clinical social work across oncology settings, assesses patient needs, develops individualized care plans, offers counseling, guidance and advocacy, coordinates with a multidisciplinary team, maintains confidential records, and may mentor less experienced social workers. Responsibilities include evaluating needs, developing care plans, providing emotional support, crisis response, resource referrals to mental health, housing, and community services, and staying informed about policies affecting patient populations.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) required
- Licensed as a Social Worker (LSW) in state of practice (required)
- Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in state of practice or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) preferred
- Work Experience: 2 years in social or human services setting, including direct practice, assessment, and treatment planning (required)
- Bilingual Spanish and English (preferred)
