Job Summary
Drive the development and verification of new simulation technology for SKF's Beast platform, focusing on domains like multibody dynamics, contact mechanics, tribology, and high-performance computing. Collaborate with users, product development, and application engineering to translate needs into technical improvements, effective UI tools, and measurable impacts on engineering efficiency. Engage in the exploration and integration of AI to enhance software capabilities while providing advanced technical support for complex customer cases. Contribute to the definition and evolution of modern design principles. This role is based in Gothenburg, Sweden, reporting to the Manager Beast Development, with applications due by August 9, 2026.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in mechanical engineering, engineering physics, computer science, mathematics, or similar
- MSc with relevant industry experience
- Experience in developing simulation technology
- Experience in engineering software
- Experience in scientific computing techniques
- Proficiency in programming languages like C++
- Sound judgment for writing clear, maintainable, and efficient code
- Good communication skills
- Professional fluency in English
