Job Summary
Advanced Radiology Intern – Part Time (PRN) at Mercy. Under supervision, the intern performs diagnostic radiology procedures, strives for optimal image quality, and delivers compassionate, patient-centered care across all age groups. Requires high school graduation (or equivalent) and active enrollment in the second year of a recognized Radiologic Technology program, plus current BLS certification, effective English communication, and basic computer skills. Physical demands include lifting/moving patients and standing/walking for extended periods; must be able to read radiographic exposure factors and respond to emergencies in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent
- Currently enrolled in the second year of a nationally accredited School of Radiologic Technology
- Certification/Registration: Current BLS certification
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Basic computer knowledge
- Lifting, moving, and transporting patients
- Continuing standing and walking
- Capable of manipulating radiology equipment; selecting and manipulating exposure factors
- Able to recognize emergencies
- Adapt to fast paced daily workload
- Communicate effectively
