Job Summary
Perform diagnostic radiology procedures under supervision while obtaining optimal image quality for patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics. Manipulate radiology equipment, select exposure factors, and transport patients while adhering to patient care quality standards. Provide personalized care and recognize the dignity of each patient during imaging procedures. Maintain current BLS certification and demonstrate ability to read and communicate effectively in English. This role requires lifting, moving, and transporting patients, continual standing and walking, and adapting to a fast-paced daily workload. Currently enrolled in the final year of a nationally accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Radiology program
- Attending final year of program
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Currently enrolled in second year of a nationally accredited School of Radiologic Technology
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Basic computer knowledge
- Capable of manipulating radiology equipment including mobile and other equipment
- Capable of selecting and manipulating exposure factors
- Capable of lifting, moving and transporting patients
- Capable of continual standing and walking
- Capable of recognizing emergency situations
- Capable of adapting to fast pace daily work load
