Job Summary
Lead and participate in PPAP timing (phased PPAP) and APQP tracking, ensure compliance with government approvals and inspection standards, lead plant trials for engineering changes, tool moves, and new program launches; manage launch and warranty issue resolution for customer quality concerns; prepare and review quality reports (8D, 7 Steps, 5 Phases, Is/Is, 6 Panels); participate in warranty reviews, field support for new model launches, and supplier quality activities; develop and validate control plans, inspection matrices, work instructions, and product validation plans; drive PFMEA, GD&T reviews, BOM sign-offs, and supplier deviation management; coordinate PDQ processes, alignment checks, and testing, including TIR responses; contribute to audits with customers and external auditors; support pre-production builds and ensure proper test parts delivery; participate in continuous improvement and containment initiatives and maintain compliance with GDPR/data privacy policies.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of community college diploma/certificate in mechanical/quality engineering
- 5-7 years of work related experience
- ASQC certification as a Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred
