Job Summary
Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for complex quality issues. Develop Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and work instructions to enhance product quality and process efficiency. Utilize advanced statistical methods for process control, capability analysis, and design of experiments (DOE) to drive continuous improvement. Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to integrate quality requirements into new product development (NPI) and existing processes. Conduct internal and external audits to assess compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Mentor junior quality engineers and provide technical expertise on advanced quality tools and methodologies. Drive the implementation of APQP and PPAP activities. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, 5+ years in manufacturing quality engineering, and proficiency in SPC, FMEA, and MSA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949)
- Proficiency in core quality tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA, MSA, Control Plans, Root Cause Analysis)
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent certification
Desired Qualifications
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification
- Experience with statistical software packages (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
- Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification a plus)
- Knowledge of advanced metrology techniques and equipment
- Experience with AI/ML applications in quality control
