Job Summary
Advanced Quality Engineer (AQE) owns quality initiatives on new part/NPI product design to set the factory up for sustainable ownership. Travels to equipment suppliers and manufacturing sites for qualification runoffs, develops robust qualification plans, leads gaging development and dimensional analysis, drives PFMEA and quality plans, implements QMS documentation, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure quality at product launch with a focus on reducing cost of quality and achieving world-class manufacturing goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience with manufacturing quality/NPI quality projects and process improvement
- Leadership and effective communication experience in the definition, design, implementation and troubleshooting of manufacturing processes (preferred)
- Experience with CMM/3D scanning/metrology systems
- Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification
- Proficient with Minitab
- Experience in metrology / measurement systems, Polyworks
