Job Summary
Advanced Product Quality Planning Coordinator Lead responsible for leading APQP activities for the plant, providing training and mentoring to the APQP team, standardizing work, balancing workloads, and collaborating with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement groups to drive process optimization. The role requires coordinating APQP processes, developing standardized metrics, reviewing team outputs to identify gaps, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts. Key skills include leadership, training and mentoring, data analysis and root cause analysis, proficiency with MS Office and Oracle, ability to read blueprints, and experience with quality systems, corrective and preventive actions, and contractual language interpretation. This position is available at New Flyer locations (Winnipeg, MB, Canada) with a focus on delivering safe, sustainable, and reliable transit bus solutions and advancing the company’s electrification initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Quality control and/or Management preferred
- Experience in manufacturing environment with a focus on quality, corrective and preventative action
- Experience in an APQP position and knowledge of the APQP duties and processes
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Data Analysis & root cause analysis
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Oracle operations
- Ability to read blueprints and determine design requirements from related specification
