Job Summary
Advanced Process Control Engineer responsible for remotely monitoring, supporting and improving APC optimization systems in mining and cement sectors, with travel to local sites for onsite maintenance/training. Key duties include responding to tickets/incidents, maintaining customer relationships, performing remote support to maintain ECS/ProcessExpert APC toolbox health, fine-tuning controllers (MPC/Fuzzy/PID), and driving preventive/commissioning visits, onsite training, and knowledge sharing. Requires 24x7 shift work, strong teamwork, and willingness to learn new automation products; candidates should have BE/Diploma in Chemical/Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation with 3+ years in APC, cement/mining processes, and proficiency in automation tools, PLC/DCS configurations, networking (OPC/ODBC/SQL), and exposure to ML/Python as advantageous. Excellent communication and global-customer interaction skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- BE or Diploma in Chemical / Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation
- 3 or more years of experience in Advanced Process Control, Cement or Mining Process Optimization/Industry, Automation and Controls
- Knowledge of Advanced Process Control tools like MPC, Neural networks, Fuzzy Logic (added advantage)
- Experience with industrial computing, networking, OPC and ODBC/SQL data communications
- Experience with DCS and/or PLC configuration, especially in integration with external applications
