Job Summary
Advanced Practitioner in the Child Protection and Permanency team leading complex safeguarding work. Responsibilities include delivering services to Children In Need/In Need of Protection, mentoring and supervising social workers and assistants, role-modeling high-quality social work practice, safeguarding children, and promoting effective care planning. Requires SWE registration, ASYE completion, substantial post-qualification experience in child protection/care planning, and knowledge of child-care legislation and Signs of Safety. Must be able to manage risk and communicate clearly with families and carers; driving licence and flexible/hybrid working options available. Office location: Manchester, England with onsite parking. Salary £42,708–£45,718 plus £3,000 market supplement (GBP) with low caseloads and clear career/CPD opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Current SWE registration
- valid right to work in the UK
- Have completed your ASYE
- significant post-qualified experience in Child Protection and Care Planning
- UK driving licence
- Knowledge of Child-care legislation
- Skilled in the management of risk and assessment of children's needs
- Great communication skills, able to explain complicated information simply
- Knowledge of the issues that affect parenting capacity and the impact of deprivation on child development
- Experience of Signs of Safety methodology
