Advanced Practitioner Primary Care

Advanced Practitioner (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) provides healthcare services under supervision/collaboration with an attending physician, including medical evaluation, treatment, counseling, referrals, diagnostic evaluations, therapeutic/remediation procedures, and prescription of medications. Responsibilities include patient assessment and education, performing physical examinations, interpreting tests, developing and implementing treatment plans, coordinating care with other healthcare professionals, conducting virtual care as needed, maintaining CME, and teaching/mentoring students and residents. Requires current NP or PA license in PA or NJ, NCCPA certification for PAs, and demonstrated clinical and collaborative competencies; strong emphasis on patient advocacy, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice.
