Job Summary
Review and evaluate clinical information from referring physicians to admit appropriate patients for infusion. Develop individualized care plans, perform physical exams, and monitor treatment progress while requesting necessary diagnostic studies. Serve as the primary clinical liaison between physician offices and the infusion center, initiating life-saving procedures when required and consulting the Medical Director as needed. Delegate responsibilities to staff nurses, enforce infection control guidelines, and provide patient education to prospective patients and providers. Document all orders and notes in the electronic medical record while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a current license to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the state in which service is provided.
- Must have current DEA license.
- Must possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service skills to identify and address patient needs
- Intermediate computer skills, MS Office
- Strong time management skills and ability to work independently to deliver key results
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and high degree of professional ethic, knowledge of confidential and regulatory compliance practices.
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Desired Qualifications
- ONCC/CRNI Certification preferred
- Rheumatology and/or infusion experience preferred, but not required.
- 1-3 years in a clinic setting preferred.
