Advanced Practiced Provider - Solid Organ Transplant

Provide expert, family-centered medical and surgical management for pediatric patients undergoing kidney and liver transplants, spanning from infancy through young adulthood. Conduct thorough pre-transplant evaluations, participate in multidisciplinary candidate selection committees, and oversee waitlisted patients across the 6-state WWAMI region. Design, titrate, and monitor complex anti-rejection regimens while proactively managing post-transplant infectious disease risks, organ rejection episodes, and secondary complications. Partner with surgical and medical teams in high-volume Living Donor Kidney and Liver Transplant Programs, utilizing advanced surgical techniques that expand access and shorten wait times for pediatric recipients. Manage acute post-transplant and waitlist clinical triage, evaluating urgent concerns to determine necessary protocol adjustments, outpatient evaluations, or immediate hospital admission. Collaborate seamlessly with pediatric transplant surgeons, subspecialty physicians, transplant nurse coordinators, social workers, dietitians, and pharmacology specialists. Facilitate long-term care transitions for adolescent and young adult transplant recipients. Practice primarily at Seattle Children's Main Campus with minimal call requirements and occasional regional telemedicine care.
