Job Summary
Advanced Practice Student in the CNS Track within the Procedural Services department; the program targets nurses pursuing a Master’s Degree in Nursing (Clinical Nurse Specialist). Responsibilities include serving as a learning clinical expert in evidence-based practice, supporting nursing research, designing and evaluating care programs in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, and providing leadership to advance CNS practice while acting as a change agent. Requirements include a BSN, current RN licensure (Oklahoma or eNLC), enrollment in a MSN-CNS program, and completion of APRN certification within 90 days of graduation; BLS certification is required at hire. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing
- Currently enrolled and completing requirements through an approved school of nursing for a Master’s Degree in Nursing, Clinical Nurse Specialist program
- 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in Patient Care
- Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
- Certification recognized by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing to be licensed as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse within 90 days of graduation
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification upon hire
