Job Summary
Advanced Practice Student in the CNS Track for Pediatric ICU & ED. This internship program targets individuals completing requirements for a Master’s Degree in Nursing in a Clinical Nurse Specialist track, offering exposure to practicing Clinical Nurse Specialists, physicians, and leadership. Responsibilities include functioning as a learning clinical expert in evidence-based nursing practice within the pediatric population, supporting nursing research, designing and evaluating patient- or population-based care programs in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, providing leadership in advancing CNS practice within the student role, and acting as a change agent through coaching and participation in system-wide committees and projects.
Required Qualifications
- Education: BSN is required.
- Currently enrolled and completing requirements through an approved school of nursing for a Master’s Degree in Nursing, Clinical Nurse Specialist program
- Experience: 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in Patient Care
- License/Certification: Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC). Certification as APRN within 90 days of graduation
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification required upon hire
