Job Summary
Advanced Practice Student in the CNS Track for Neonatal Services focused on building expertise as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. Provides learning and performance in evidence-based practice within the neonatal patient population, supports nursing research, and assists in designing, implementing, and evaluating care programs in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Demonstrates leadership to advance nursing practice, acts as a change agent through coaching and participation in system-wide committees and projects, and collaborates with physicians and leadership to improve patient outcomes. Requires BSN, enrollment in an approved MSN CNS program, RN licensure (OK or eNLC), BLS, and ability to engage in a structured internship that prepares for APRN certification within 90 days of graduation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing required
- Currently enrolled and completing requirements through an approved school of nursing for a Master’s Degree in Nursing, Clinical Nurse Specialist program
- 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in patient care
- Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
- Certification recognized by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing to be licensed as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse within 90 days of graduation
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification upon hire
