Job Summary
Advanced Practice Student role in the CNS track within Adult Medical Surgical Services. Program targets individuals completing requirements for a Master’s Degree in Nursing (Clinical Nurse Specialist). Provides exposure to clinical areas, multidisciplinary teams, and leadership opportunities; emphasizes evidence-based practice, research support, and population-based care; supports development as a clinical nurse specialist through collaboration with CNSs, physicians, and leadership; includes opportunities to design and implement innovative solutions, participate in committees, and contribute to system-wide nursing services. Requires BSN, active RN license in OK or eNLC, enrollment in MSN-CS program, BLS, and 2+ years RN experience; completion of MSN CS certification within 90 days post-graduation is anticipated. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current RN License in Oklahoma or compact license (eNLC)
- Master’s Degree in Nursing - Clinical Nurse Specialist track (enrollment/requirement completion for MSN CS)
- Two years RN experience in patient care
- Basic Life Support (AHA) certification upon hire
- Certification as Advanced Practice Nurse within 90 days of graduation
