Job Summary
Advanced Practice Student, CNS Track in Adult Hematology/Oncology. The program is designed for nursing students pursuing a Master’s Degree in Nursing with a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) focus. Responsibilities include practicing within the RN scope as a learning clinical expert, conducting or supporting evidence-based nursing practice and nursing research, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to design and evaluate patient- and population-based care programs, providing leadership and coaching, and participating in system-wide committees and projects. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of nursing theory and practice, organization and coordination of nursing services, effective communication, cultural and language responsiveness, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. The role requires an active RN license (or multistate compact) and BLS certification, with certification as a CNS/APRN to be completed within 90 days of graduation. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing required
- Currently enrolled and completing requirements through an approved school of nursing for a Master’s Degree in Nursing, Clinical Nurse Specialist program
- 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in Patient Care
- Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
- Certification recognized by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing to be licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse within 90 days of graduation
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification upon hire
