Job Summary
Advanced Practice Student, CNS Track in Adult Cardiac Services. This program is for individuals pursuing a Master’s Degree in Nursing (Clinical Nurse Specialist track) and offers exposure to CNS practice, multidisciplinary teams, and leadership development. Responsibilities include serving as a learning clinical expert in evidence-based nursing practice, supporting nursing research, designing and evaluating patient- or population-based programs, leading nursing practice improvements, and coaching teams through system-wide initiatives. Requires RN licensure (Oklahoma Board or eNLC), MSN-CNS enrollment, 2 years RN experience, and BLS certification; upon graduation, APN licensure must be obtained within 90 days.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing required
- Currently enrolled and completing requirements through an approved school of nursing for a Master’s Degree in Nursing, Clinical Nurse Specialist program
- 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in Patient Care
- Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
- Certification recognized by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing to be licensed as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse must be acquired within 90 days
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification required upon hire
