Job Summary
Provide direct pediatric care within TFHC's team-based medical home model as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in Pediatrics. Responsibilities include performing histories, physical examinations, assessments, diagnoses, ordering and interpreting labs/diagnostics, developing and implementing treatment plans (including medications and follow-up), educating patients and families on wellness and care management, collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, and the care team, participating in daily care team huddles and quality improvement initiatives, ensuring HIPAA compliance, promoting positive relationships with patients, families, staff, and the community, and floating throughout the organization as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited APRN program
- Current national board certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (such as CPNP-PC, PPCNP-BC)
- Valid and unrestricted State of Florida APRN license
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum of 1 year pediatric clinical experience
- Pediatric primary care experience preferred
- Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Experience with electronic health records preferred
