Job Summary
Advanced Practice Provider – Urology role in the Beth Israel Lahey Health system (Needham area) providing direct patient care in ambulatory/inpatient settings. Responsible for history and physical examinations, care-plan formulation, ordering/interpreting labs and diagnostic tests, patient and family education, and coordinating care across an interdisciplinary team. Acts as a clinical resource, collaborates with physicians/surgeons for complex diagnoses, documents encounters clearly and timely, and participates in on-call, weekend, and off-hour coverage as needed. Requires a Master's degree in Nursing, nursing license, BLS certification, and valid prescriptive authority; 0-1 years related experience and comfort with technology (electronic medical records and standard office software). Preference for experience in teaching hospital and pain management.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing
- Nursing License
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- MA Board authorization to practice as an APRN
- Prescriptive authority from MA DPH-DCP and Federal DEA
- 0-1 years related work experience
- Experience with computer systems (web-based applications, Microsoft Office)
