Job Summary
Advanced Practice Provider (pediatric urgent care) collaborates within a team to deliver comprehensive care to children and teens, performing histories and physicals, ordering/interpretation of tests, and developing treatment plans. Responsibilities include patient education, referrals, quality improvement participation, ongoing professional development, and alignment with Joint Commission standards. Requires Georgia APRN or PA licensure, BLS, and pediatric-focused certification pathways; part-time, evening/weekend coverage, split between Chamblee-Brookhaven and Forsyth locations; emphasis on pediatric urgent care, collaboration with supervising physician, and a strong commitment to mission-driven care for children.
Required Qualifications
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia OR Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact
- APRN licensure in Georgia OR licensure as a Physician Assistant in Georgia
- Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by ANCC, AANP, PNCB, or NCCPA
- BLS certification upon hire
- PALS within 60 days of hire for certain roles
- Knowledge of Georgia Scope of Practice for Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants
- Doctorate in Nursing Practice or Master’s or Doctorate in Medical Science Education OR Master’s degree in nursing OR bachelor’s in medical science
