Job Summary
Conduct routine physical and psychosocial assessments, formulate individualized plans of care, and adapt educational programs for patients and families. Perform skilled procedures, make independent clinical decisions, and ensure care efficiency by prioritizing immediate needs and offering solutions. Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to manage transitional health care needs and advocate for patient rights while resolving conflicts. Requires MSN or PA-C accreditation, one year of acute hospital experience, and Advanced Trauma Life Support certification. Based at Mercy Medical Center Redding, a Level II trauma center serving 300,000 residents.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited school of nursing (MSN)
- Graduate as a PA from an institution accredited by the Commission on Education of Physician Assistants (with a Bachelors Degree)
- NP or PA with Critical Care and/or Emergency Care experience
- One year of experience in an acute hospital setting
- Advanced Trauma Life Support training
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (must be certified through the American Heart Association)
Desired Qualifications
- English-Spanish bilingual fluency
- NP with ACNP
- Trauma Trained PA-C
- PAs with a Masters Degree
