Job Summary
Conduct high-quality medical and surgical patient care for high-risk breast, endocrine, and soft tissue oncology patients at the Chesterfield Pavilion. Perform histories and physicals, order and interpret diagnostic tests, make diagnoses, treat injuries, and assist with surgical procedures under the collaboration of an Attending Physician. Coordinate patient care across the continuum, initiate emergency procedures as needed, and document all pertinent information in medical records. Formulate therapeutic plans that incorporate physical, spiritual, cultural, and psychosocial aspects of patients while maintaining effective communication with the multidisciplinary team. Serve as a consultant to other professionals, participate in research and clinical trials, and engage in continuing education to maintain certification and competency.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Midwife or Physician Assistant Program
- Current Virginia licensure from the appropriate Board as a Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Midwife, or Physician Assistant
- Current national certification as appropriate for the role
- Credentialing in accordance with medical staff by-laws for specific job titles
- Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications
- Three (3) years of previous clinical experience with the population served
