Job Summary
As an Advanced Practice Provider in the Sickle Cell Disease Program, you will deliver advanced healthcare to children and families, including conducting assessments, clinical management, and education. Responsibilities include comprehensive patient care management within a collaborative practice model, performing evaluations, ordering tests, developing treatment plans, and providing education to patients and medical staff. Required qualifications include an active RN license in Georgia, APRN licensure, and certifications such as BLS and PALS. Preferred qualifications include relevant degrees and pediatric healthcare experience.
Required Qualifications
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure in Georgia
- Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse Practitioner Certification Program (AANP), Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB), or National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 60 days of hire for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants working in specific areas
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in pediatric healthcare preferred
- Doctorate degree in Nursing Practice or Master's or Doctorate degree in Medical Science
