Job Summary
Perform complete, detailed health histories, review patient records, and develop comprehensive medical assessments while ordering appropriate laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic studies. Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses, institute therapy or referrals, and institute emergency measures for cardiac arrest, shock, hemorrhage, convulsions, poisoning, and allergic reactions. Interpret patient data to determine status and management, then provide instructions and guidance regarding health care and promotion to patients and families. Collaborate with staff to ensure efficient patient flow and satisfaction within the scope of training and approved agreements. Treat patients aged two and up while maintaining professional appearance and attitude. ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certification required with active licensure; DOT certification preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and family
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice
- DEA number
- state-controlled substance certificate, as required
- Able to multi-task and work independently
- Able to treat 2 years old and up
Desired Qualifications
- ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certified
- 1 yr ER/UC experience outside of clinical rotations
- DOT Certification
