Job Summary
Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including patient history, mental status examinations, and diagnostic assessments. Formulate accurate diagnoses and develop personalized treatment plans incorporating therapy and medication management. Manage psychotropic regimens, initiate titration, and monitor for efficacy and side effects while providing crisis intervention and risk assessments. Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers for case consultations and referrals. Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies. Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR and ensure compliance with legal regulations and DEA guidelines. Stay current on psychiatric care advancements through continuing education and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Masters' or Doctoral degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing
- Current licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP or PMHNP-BC)
- A thorough knowledge of The Joint Commission, OSHA, CMS, DHS, State Regulations, and Federal Regulatory Standards
- Complete TB testing
- Drug Screening
- Background check
