Job Summary
Deliver care from admission to discharge for patients recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and orthopedic injuries. Order and follow up on test results, adjusting treatment as needed. Provide 24-hour, 7-day coverage to patients and families, including weekend rotations. Maintain BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications while holding a valid NYS license or limited permit. Utilize electronic medical records and MS Office to manage patient data. Multitask effectively to enhance patient care and team collaboration within a hospital known for excellence in Maternal/Child Services and Orthopedics.
Required Qualifications
- graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications
- NYS Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner License or Limited Permit
- ability to work a varied schedule including weekend rotations
- excellent interpersonal skills
- effective communications skills

- working knowledge of MS Office
- ability to work with an electronic medical record
