Job Summary
Conduct complete history and physical examinations for acute and complex chronically ill pediatric patients from newborn to adolescence. Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic tests while formulating differential diagnoses and evidence-based treatment plans. Perform advanced procedures including suturing, abscess drainage, line placements, and splinting under attending physician supervision. Coordinate daily rounds, present 24-hour patient reports, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage care for inpatient and outpatient populations. Document progress notes, discharge summaries, and transfer orders in compliance with acute care standards. Work three 12-hour shifts per week including evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- LIC-Licensed Nurse Practitioner - Tennessee
- LIC-Physician's Assistant Certified - Tennessee
- LIC-Registered Nurse - Tennessee
- Master's
Desired Qualifications
- 3 years minimum clinical nursing experience in Emergency Department or ICU
- graduated from an accredited program
- National Specialty Board Certification (Acute Care)
- TN APN certificate/certificate of fitness to prescribe
- eligible for DEA
