Job Summary
Provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients across ambulatory, inpatient, and surgical settings, including pre- and post-operative management and first assist duties. Elicit health histories, perform physical examinations, and order, perform, or interpret diagnostic and screening tests. Plan and modify interventions for medications, treatments, and procedures based on patient response, while initiating and monitoring medication orders. Conduct patient interviews, obtain health records, provide health care teaching and counseling, and manage referrals within the inpatient and outpatient environments. Requires Florida licensure, BLS certification, and accredited PA program completion.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of Accredited PA program
- National Physician Assistant Certification within 90 days of employment
- Florida Licensure as a Physician Assistant (temp or permanent)
- BLS

- Prior healthcare/patient care experience
- Experience working in Orthopedics
