Job Summary
Provide direct clinical management for pediatric musculoskeletal injuries in the urgent care setting, including obtaining histories, performing physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, and developing evidence-based treatment plans. Partner with attending physicians and specialists to deliver safe care, while directing or participating in case management to ensure seamless patient transitions. Contribute to departmental quality improvement projects and engage in education and research efforts for patients, families, and the medical team. Work Monday through Friday from 1pm to 10pm PST.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing with a concentration in a pediatric or family nurse practitioner program OR graduate of a nationally accredited physician assistant program
- One year work experience in a pediatric or family focused clinical area
- Active, unencumbered registered nurse and advanced registered nurse practitioner licensure in the State of Washington
- Current national certification as a pediatric or family nurse practitioner
- Active, unencumbered physician assistant licensure in the State of Washington
- Initial certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
- Active Drug Enforcement Authority registration
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Professionals
- American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Active clinical privileges as an Allied Health Provider at Seattle Children's Hospital
Desired Qualifications
- Two years experience in advanced practice provider role
- Two years experience in pediatric health care
