Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Associate), Part-Time

Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive preoperative risk assessments by obtaining history and physicals, ordering diagnostic studies, and managing medications for surgical patients. Perform complete physical exams including auscultation, review medical records, and develop evidence-based treatment plans addressing diagnoses and risk factors. Collaborate with cardiology, anesthesiology, and surgical teams to coordinate medical optimization, share concerns regarding patient readiness, and document care plans in the EMR. Provide health teaching focused on illness prevention and surgical preparation while interpreting tests and referring patients as necessary. Requires Oregon licensure, ACLS/DEA certification, and critical care experience; part-time schedule with on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Master Degree in Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing in the specialty of Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP), or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG ACNP) from an accredited program
- Current RN and NP licensure with the Oregon Board of Nursing
- Current ANCC Certification in the area of specialization
- Current ACLS certification
- DEA certification
- Master Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program
- Current PA licensure with the Oregon Medical Board
- Current NCCPA Certification
- Current ACLS certification
- DEA certification
- 3-5 years of previous experience as provider in critical care setting, ideally with experience in a medical intensive setting
