Job Summary
Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant) floats between Tampa-area urgent care clinics, providing episodic care under protocols with supervising physicians, performs age-appropriate histories and exams, orders and interprets diagnostics, prescribes medications, documents patient information, and manages both pediatric (3 months+) and adult patients. Requires current APRN/PA licensure, BLS, NRCME for DOT exams, and preferred DEA license. Travel between clinics is expected; on-site role with ~36 hours/week across 13 shifts per month.
Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Associate
- Current BLS
- Current certification with the NRCME to perform Department of Transportation (DOT) exams
- Two years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate, strongly preferred
- Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care setting, strongly preferred
- DEA license with no restrictions, preferred
