Manage pediatric gastrointestinal patients through comprehensive assessments, including health history, physical examinations, and psychosocial evaluations. Order laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic studies per protocol, differentiate findings, and prescribe medications and therapies according to New York State law. Collaborate with attending physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop therapeutic plans, ensure timely communication with families, and facilitate continuity of care across outpatient, home care, and inpatient settings. Monitor treatment effectiveness, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and maintain current expertise in pediatric GI and ostomy management.
