Job Summary
Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for Trauma and Acute Care in an outpatient clinic setting. Collaborates with interdisciplinary health care teams to diagnose and treat conditions requiring surgical intervention in the outpatient environment; writes progress and procedure notes and transfer orders; orders, performs, and interprets screening and diagnostic procedures; communicates and documents information; may perform procedures beyond core scope as identified by Trauma and Acute Care Surgery; facilitates communication with patients, families, and staff to ensure continuity of care; participates in required trainings and regulatory compliance; contributes to quality indicators and outcomes dashboards; stays current with developments in the APN/PA field through education and professional activities; apply through the MCW recruitment process and provide CV and cover letter; contact for inquiries: Kate Dillon.
Required Qualifications
- Wisconsin RN License
- Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber License
- DEA registration
- ACLS
- BLS
- ATLS within 6 months of start date
- Nurse Practitioner Certification (AGACNP/AGPCNP/FNP) or Physician Assistant Certification (NCCPA)
- Wisconsin Physician Assistant License
- CITI Certification
