Job Summary
Provide clinical care under physician supervision, including obtaining medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, diagnosing and prescribing treatments for common illnesses. Responsibilities include performing examinations, educating patients, and managing patient care across various age demographics. Must communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and adhere to established medical protocols. Requires licensure and certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an approved educational program for Nurse Practitioners
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California as a Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Midwife
- Possession of a valid certificate issued by the Board of Registered Nursing authorizing use of the title Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Midwife
- Completion of a Physician's Assistant training program approved by the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance
- Possession of a current valid certificate issued by the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance
- Possess a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) card at time of hire
- Maintenance of RQI Provider certification and competency
