Job Summary
Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) delivering clinic-based primary and family care at CVS MinuteClinic in San Antonio, TX. Weekend-focused schedule (5 out of 6 weekends; Saturday 9:00–5:30 and Sunday 9:00–4:30) with potential additional shifts at other San Antonio-area clinics; in-clinic care with optional virtual visits from the clinic when appropriate. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, treatment, preventive care, vaccines, chronic disease management, coordination with other clinicians, and patient follow-up. Responsibilities also include clinic operations such as inventory, opening/closing, insurance verification, and payment collection. Education requirements include Master’s degree in a NP program (NPs: family-focused) or an equivalent PA degree, current board certification (AANP/ANCC for NPs or NCCPA for PAs), and an unrestricted state license. The role supports both in-person and virtual visits, uses EPIC EHR, and requires DOT certification within 30 days, BLS, proper PPE/fit testing, and physical presence at the clinic. This part-time role offers a pay range hourly of $62–$72 with benefits and potential bonuses; anticipated weekly hours around 15.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited NP or PA program
- Current national board certification (AANP or ANCC) for NP; NCCPA certification for PA
- Active, unrestricted state APRN license or PA license
- DOT certification within 30 days of employment
- BLS certification
- Ability to pass respirator FIT test
- Physical presence at assigned clinic required
- Experience: NP: One year preferred; new graduates considered; PA: Prior PA experience preferred; new grads considered
- Ability to obtain multi-state licensure as needed
- DOT certification and vaccine administration ability (COVID-19, influenza, TB, etc.)
- Proficiency in delivering both in-person and virtual care
- Ability to practice at the top of license with comprehensive clinical team support
- Bilingual proficiency may be required depending on market needs
- EPIC experience (EHR) preferred
