Job Summary
Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) in Colorectal Surgery – Outpatient Powell who collaborates with a physician to provide health care services, focusing on preventive health and management of acute or stable chronic conditions. Provides care under a supervising physician, communicates health promotion, education, and referrals, and adheres to credentialing and licensure requirements. Includes working within The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center framework, with duties spanning clinical assessment, patient education, care coordination, and collaboration with the medical team. Location is outpatient Powell; first-shift schedule; 40 hours weekly; background check and post-offer screenings may apply.
Required Qualifications
- Current certificate of authority to practice as an APRN in the State of Ohio
- Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program that qualifies the graduate to sit for the certification examination of a national certifying organization recognized by the Ohio Board of Nursing
- Master of Science Degree in Nursing
- Eligibility for State of Ohio licensure as a PA-C OR Masters Prepared; Graduate of a PA-C program that qualifies the graduate to sit for the certification examination recognized by the National Certification Commission for Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- 0 years of relevant experience required; 0-2 years preferred
- Location: Outpatient Care Powell (1046)
- Background check required; drug screen or physical may be required during post-offer process
