Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with advanced training join a 3-provider Pain Management team in Crystal Lake, IL. Primary responsibilities include evaluating and diagnosing acute and chronic pain conditions, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, collaborating with physicians and an interdisciplinary team, participating in hospital rounding, and providing patient education for long-term pain management. Practice locations include Crystal Lake, Algonquin, Barrington, and Lake Zurich with a team-oriented, outpatient-focused environment and rotating in-patient rounding. Must hold an active APRN license (RN/NP or PA-C), national board certification, DEA registration, and relevant certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP as required). Master’s degree in nursing required; pain management experience preferred. The role emphasizes independence within a team, strong communication, EMR proficiency, and adherence to documentation and billing standards. Schedule includes Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with one Saturday per month and rotating call; approximately 95% outpatient and 5% inpatient rounding; option for comprehensive benefits and compensation within the stated pay range.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN, APRN license in state of practice
- Active national board certification in area of clinical practice
- DEA registration prior to hire
- Illinois Controlled Substance License prior to hire (if Illinois practice)
- BLS and/or ACLS, PALS, NRP as required
