Job Summary
Collaborate with supervising physicians to develop safe, balanced pain management treatment plans and perform comprehensive patient assessments. Diagnose and treat acute and chronic pain conditions using evidence-based, minimally invasive therapies while ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests. Prescribe medications per state regulations and PartnerCare protocols, maintaining accurate electronic health records and initiating referrals when needed. Participate in clinical quality improvement initiatives and model the organization's CARE values in all interactions. This onsite role in Asheville, NC, supports minimally invasive alternatives to surgery across multiple locations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- Current NCCPA certification
- AANP or ANCC certification
- Active and unrestricted state PA or APRN license
- DEA registration with Schedule II authority
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the clinic for extended periods
- Manual dexterity to perform patient examinations and operate standard clinical and office equipment
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Regular and predictable attendance
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of APP clinical experience
- Experience in pain management or interventional specialty care
- eClinicalWorks experience
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program (AANP Certification)
- CPR certification for Health Care Providers
- Desire to work as part of a team environment
