Job Summary
Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner sought to collaborate with radiologists, delivering procedure- and imaging-based radiology services in hospital and outpatient settings. Responsibilities include patient evaluations, ordering/interpreting diagnostic tests, performing image-guided procedures (e.g., arthrograms, joint injections, lumbar punctures, paracentesis, cystograms, tube studies, biopsies, drain placements, HSG), obtaining informed consent, managing pre-/intra-/post-procedure orders, and serving as a liaison among patients, nursing staff, referring physicians, and radiologists. The role also encompasses daily rounds, monitoring patient progress, contributing to process-improvement projects within the radiology program, and providing updates and documentation for the medical team. Required Qualifications
- Current licensure and certification to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the State of Georgia
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- Experience in interventional radiology or comparable invasive procedures preferred
