Job Summary
Advanced Practice Provider (APP) with NP or PA credentials providing comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patient health needs in an urgent care setting. Responsibilities include initial patient assessments, developing and adjusting care plans, prescribing medications, coordinating referrals, educating patients and families, maintaining EMR documentation, providing clinical leadership, and ensuring HIPAA/compliance. Requires ongoing professional development, travel within a 25-mile radius between clinic locations, and collaboration with Medical Director, staff, and external providers. Licensure and certification prerequisites include Illinois APRN or PA license, RN license (NPs only), national certification (AANP/ANCC for NPs; NCCPA for PAs), BLS, and DOT/FMCSA Medical Examiner certification; preferred ACLS/PALS, additional DEA and controlled substance licensing, and ongoing licensure maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois APRN License (NPs) OR Illinois PA License
- Active RN License (NPs only)
- National Certification (AANP/ANCC for NPs; NCCPA for PAs)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- DOT/FMCSA Certified Medical Examiner
- Master’s Degree or Doctor of Nursing Practice (NP track) OR Graduation from accredited PA program
