Job Summary
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for providing direct patient care to assigned patients within Cottage Medical Group. The role demands independent functioning and collaboration with supervising clinic physician(s) in patient care delivery. Key responsibilities include assessing, interpreting, and integrating findings to develop diagnostic, educational, and therapeutic management plans for patients. A minimum of two years of experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner is required, along with a Master’s degree in a relevant field and appropriate California licensure and certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Master of Nursing Degree
- Valid California license as a Physician Assistant
- National certification granted after passing the PA National Certifying Exam
- Valid Drug Enforcement Agency license - DEA Schedule 2-5
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers
- Current State of California Registered Nurse license
- Current California Licensure and Certificate to practice as a Nurse Practitioner
- Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Emergency Nurse Practitioner
- California Furnishing License - Controlled Substances II
Desired Qualifications
- Two (2) years of experience as a Physician Assistant OR a Nurse Practitioner in the area of the clinic specialty and in an outpatient setting.
