Advanced Practice Provider - Hospitalist Medicine

Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients' medical, physical, and psychological status, including histories and physical examinations. Develop individualized treatment plans, record notes in the medical record, and implement physician-directed treatment plans while writing orders for medications, treatments, and tests. Dispense medication as dictated, adhering to state law or verbal orders under the direction of a supervising physician, with specific prescribing privileges excluding Class II ophthalmic steroids, Class III antiarrhythmics, and certain anabolic agents. Provide education and training to clinical staff within the offices while operating within the scope of practice outlined by the State of South Carolina. Requires current SC PA licensure or unrestricted SC APRN license with prescriptive authority, a CAAHEP-approved program completion, and minimum three years of practice experience.
