Job Summary
The Advanced Practice Provider in Hospital Medicine will perform clinical patient care under physician supervision, including data gathering, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and chronic illness management. Key responsibilities include evaluating patients, conducting physical examinations, interpreting laboratory and radiological tests, monitoring patient status, documenting findings, and making therapeutic recommendations. The role requires proficiency in patient education and counseling and includes supervision of NP, PA, health science, and medical students. Relevant qualifications include a Master's degree in nursing or as a physician assistant, current NCCPA and ANCC certifications, and appropriate D.C. licensures.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing and completion of an approved course of study as a nurse practitioner
- Master's degree as a physician assistant and completion of an approved course of study as a physician assistant
- Current NCCPA certification and D.C. licensure as a Physician Assistant
- Current ANCC certification and D.C. licensure as an NP
