Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive care for adolescent and young adult patients with hematologic malignancies, transplant, and cell therapy cases within the Section of Hematology/Oncology. Manage patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment in the outpatient clinic, including arranging diagnostic tests, following up on results, and performing procedures such as bone marrow biopsy, suture removal, and lumbar puncture. Staff assigned clinics, attend multidisciplinary conferences, and handle administrative duties like chart reviews, prescription refills, and patient phone inquiries. Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to develop diagnostic strategies and therapeutic interventions while maintaining longitudinal care for oncology survivors.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum requirements include a college or university degree from an accredited school/college
- Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through a combination of education and a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in a related job discipline
- Current and/or eligible for State of Illinois licensure/registration required
- Eligibility to be privileged and credentialed through the Medical Staff Office (MSO)
- State of Illinois
- Willing to enter into written collaborative agreement with a collaborating physician upon hire
- Drug Test Required
- Health Screen Required
Desired Qualifications
- Once licensed and as needed, apply for a mid-level practitioner controlled substance license and DEA number
- Privileged and credentialed through UCM Medical Staff Office prior to start date
