Job Summary
Advanced Practice Provider Hematology Oncology Clinic seeks an experienced Physician Assistant for outpatient care at St. Michael Cancer Center. Responsibilities include managing oncology/hematology patients, treating acute/same-day visits, long-term follow-ups, and infusion room oversight with approximately 8-12 patients per shift. Weekday shifts with no weekends or holidays and 4-10 hour shifts. Inpatient coverage may be available when the dedicated inpatient PA is out. Compensation ranges from $134,475 to $167,000 based on PA experience. Requires PA program completion, WA PA license, and minimum 1 year of oncology/hematology APP experience; EPIC experience is a plus. Strong teamwork, communication, professionalism, and privacy adherence are essential. Location is Silverdale, WA, within the Puget Sound region, as part of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health system.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current Washington State P.A. license or active license prior to starting
- Minimum one year of advanced practice experience (P.A) working with Oncology and Hematology patients
- Prior experience with EPIC a plus, but not required
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with physicians, and hospital staff, patients and their families
- Excellent communication skills and professionalism
- Strong commitment to patient care team concept and privacy guidelines
